About

Crafters on Central opened its doors in March 2022. They work to provide "art for all ages" in their classes and offerings to the local area. Many local artists will be teaching classes and sharing their skills with all of us. Our studio also includes a retail space offering arts & crafts (by local artists) of all shapes and sizes for sale. Our current and upcoming classes can be found on our classes page. Check it out and come and craft with us!

Do you allow classroom audits?

Attending just to watch is not an option at our studio. In the future, we hope to offer free demonstrations from various artists at the studio creating live work so our guests can come and enjoy watching.

When should I arrive?

We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to the beginning of your class or splatter paint session. At the start of each class we will spin our Crafters Prize Wheel and you need to be present to receive your prize!

Can I bring my own drink into the Studio?

Sorry, Wisconsin is not a BYOB state. Crafters offers complimentary water and coffee. We also have an assortment of snacks and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase. Please be prepared to provide us with a valid ID for any alcohol purchases.

Is there a minimum age required for classes?

All of our classes will have age guidelines posted within the class description. Please refer to this or email us with any questions or concerns. We kindly as that our chairs be used by our paying guests only. During open studio hours all are welcome and we encourage parents to feel free to bring their child along. We will offer art for all ages throughout the year!

What precautions are you taking to protect against COVID?

We are taking active measures to keep our studio, staff and you safe during these trying times. We sanitize all work areas, tools, aprons and supplies between every class. To minimize traffic throughout the studio we ask that you leave garbage at your work area and we will clean it up. Special requests to reserve or space tables can be sent to us at craftersoncentral@gmail.com. Our studio is also available for private parties. We hope to offer remote workshops in the future.

Where can I park?

Feel free to park on either side of the street in front of our building. We also have several spots behind our building near the Community Center.

Meet The Owners

Doug and Stacey Lantagne

Doug and Stacey Lantagne are the owners of Crafters on Central, LLC. They were inspired after visiting "Hands on Art Studio" in Fish Creek, WI and spending the day creating art together. Their thoughts of "we really need something like this in our area" quickly transformed into a reality several months later in November of 2021.

Doug and Stacey have lived in Florence County for the last eight years and they both were born and raised in the local surrounding area. During the day, Doug can be found working as a shop manager for Midwest Gravel. He has specialized skills in welding and fabrication and enjoys free hand plasma cutting art. Stacey works as an office manager for Timber Products or Iron Mountain, Inc. She likes to dabble in all things arts and crafts. She especially enjoys photography, crochet, scrapbooking and creative writing. As crafters will quickly learn, Stacey has had a lifelong obsession for sunflowers. Why not? They always stand tall and face towards the sun. To her, they emulate life and happiness.

Doug and Stacy have three grown children and one grandson. Their whole family feels strong ties to this local community and looks forward to finding ways to give back. Doug and Stacey can't wait to meet you. Choose to shine like a sunflower and come embrace the warmth and crafting love with them at Crafters on Central studio.
